Carrol created her sculptures from a series of drawings in an archive of sketchbooks. For many years these drawings were kept as personal works of reference.
Her stepdaughters, Kim and Martine, implored her to make these sketches public. The idea to translate these sketches into a series of functional pieces was born.
The images were woven as a jacquard weave, thus enhancing the texture of the drawings. Each pillow is reversible with a different image.
