Celebrated craftsperson and artist Carrol Boyes started her design studio in 1989 in South Africa. Raised in Pretoria, she studied Fine Arts at the local University and upon graduating, taught sculpture for eleven years. She began her company with the desire to bring aesthetically pleasing yet functional objects into the home. Prior to her passing in 2019 she performed the initial design of all the products from her Cape Town studio with production occurring in Veld, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
