Each unique grinder has been hand-painted utilizing dyes, all of which burning and carving to add complexity to the designs all of which induce the kind of visual excitement that temp people to touch the work. The goal of the Artist is to tempt people to reevaluate their assumptions about the intrinsic artistic value. 

Each grinder has an industrial-grade ceramic rotor that crushes the salt or pepper. With a small adjustment in the mechanism, one can achieve a coarser or finer grind.
